AngelStar Inspired Products

During my tenure at AngelStar Inspired Products I started as a Customer Service Representative and finished as the Director of Product Development. As the Director, I managed a team of up to 5 designers and oversaw everything from product concepts, to packaging and catalogs.

Each product is carefully designed and followed closely through the manufacturing process to ensure a high quality final product.

At AngelStar I…

Developed new product concepts & collections that were consistent with AngelStar’s brand.
Create a style guide and project scope for each new product or product collection to ensure that the entire team, as well as the COO was on the same page.
Create artwork and creating assets for new collections. This would include artwork for packaging, logos, and advertisements.
Lead the Graphic Design & Marketing teams through daily workloads as well as large catalog projects.
Managed all product designs from concept form through production. This includes necessary packaging, carton markings, and shipment details.
Coordinated directly with ‘Key Accounts’ to create custom products for their seasonal and themed roll-outs.
Worked with the Inventory Manager and COO to reorder products, update packaging, and ensure all production met quality standards.
Carried through social media campaigns, email & physical mailings promoting new items & specials.
Worked from the corporate showrooms during select January/July shows in Las Vegas and Atlanta assisting the sales team in new product releases, meeting with buyers, and working with key accounts on custom designs.
Attended international sourcing fairs in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, seeking out new factories and meeting with current manufacturers.

Often times, new collections began with pencil on paper. Here is an example of the early concepts for the ‘Guardian Eagle Collection’, including several Visor Clip sketches (front) that made it into the final release.

For each new collection presented for consideration, I created a style guide and directive that showed the full scope of each project.

Once a collection’s concept has been approved, I worked on creating artwork assets that could be used for any and all products on the directive.
